BEST – This is one of my favorite live concert films ever. 4 maybe 5 handheld cameras, one on sticks, captures the energy and impact of Led Zep at their finest. The camera ops all do great work, which comes down to framing, composition, anticipating what happens next, and most importantly, getting close. The close up work is fantastic and powerful. Remember this was all pre jib, steadicam, etc. It is one of my favorite examples of classic concert documentary shooting that I feel will always stand the test of time and convey the emotion and power of great live music. Handheld cameras and closeups done right.

WORST – The silly gangster/fantasy stuff is so hilariously bad that it’s..well…hilarious. It probably cost a bunch of extra money and has actually no relevance or purpose in this film (or ANY film actually).
